Stanley Vashovsky – Co-Founder of DocGo

Prior to launching DocGo and Ambulnz, the world's first technology-enabled medical transportation company, Stan Vashovsky was a serial entrepreneur and c-suite executive at multiple healthcare organizations beginning in 1992.

Mr. Vashovsky founded his first startup — MEDCARE — in 1992, at the age of 19 years old. The company was a healthcare services and software pioneer specializing in medical equipment servicing and software development. MEDCARE was based on Mr. Vashovsky recognizing the untapped potential of using technology to automate the testing of medical devices – an insight he developed after years of volunteering at a hospital where his parents both worked. What started in a Brooklyn garage turned into a national business consisting of highly talented software and biomedical engineers. Philips Healthcare acquired MEDCARE in 2001 and hired Mr. Vashovsky as Vice President of Innovations. As one of the youngest vice presidents in the company's history, he spearheaded many of Philips Healthcare's technology initiatives. In 2008, he was recruited and named CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board for Health Systems Solutions (HSS), where he led a successful turnaround of this public healthcare software company before taking it private. Following a successful Venture Capital exit from HSS, Mr. Vashovsky - a serial entrepreneur and a 20+ year volunteer paramedic - saw an opportunity to bring the benefits of technology and innovation to the medical transportation sector, which led to the idea for Ambulnz and DocGo.

Mr. Vashovsky co-founded DocGo in 2015. Under his leadership, the company expanded across 26 states and to the United Kingdom, launched a mobile healthcare service offering, and went public on Nasdaq with the ticker symbol DCGO. At the time of going public, the company had over 6,000 employees. The company has helped train thousands of EMTs and paramedics, has adopted sustainable practices including building an eco-friendly fleet of fuel-efficient mobile health units, and has leveraged technology to pair an on-site clinician with a remote advanced practice provider to help extend the company's clinical reach and bring high-quality, highly accessible care to patients where and when they need it.

Throughout his career, he has launched multiple successful startups, employed thousands of people, and, more importantly, consistently contributed technological innovation to the healthcare sector. Mr. Vashovsky has received recognition for both his success as an entrepreneur and his ability to transform businesses. His career epitomizes hard work, innovation, and value creation that are all part of the American dream.
